Description
Johnson Duramax Non-Metallic Marine Cutless bearings are equally adapt to strut and stern tube mounts and are often used efficiently as rudder stock and pintle bushings. Non-Metallic cutless bearings are a specially formulated oil and chemical resistant nitrile rubber that is bonded to a Non-Metallic shell. They are moulded to fit the shaft in accordance with U.S. Navy BuShips approved clearance for efficient water lubrication. Radially-spaced grooves have edges rounded to promote the flow of water between the journal and the bearing rubber in a continuous lubrication film. Grit particles and other abrasives wipe into the grooves and are flushed away.
